The North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon was established on August 15, 1990

under the Maharashtra University Act (No.XXIX) of 1989, to establish and promote

facilities for advanced and applied education in North Maharashtra region. The North

Maharashtra University has achieved a distinctive place in the area of higher education

during the period of last 19 years. In such short span of time it has made a commendable

progress. The University has 208 affiliated Colleges and 35 recognized institutions.

University is reaccredited B Grade (2.88) by National Assessment and Accreditation

Council (NAAC), Bangalore in2009.

A Mathematician, Prin. Dr. K. B. Patil is the present Vice-Chancellor of North

Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He has obtained his Ph.D. Degree from University of

Calgary (Canada). He served as graduate and post graduate teacher in Mathematics,

Principal of Jai-Hind College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Dhule. He also served for

North Maharashtra University in different capacities such as Registrar, Management

Council Member, Dean of Science Faculty and Chairman of different committees.

The University offers various innovative academic programmes in the faculties of

Science, Art, Engineering and Technology, Commerce and Management, Education,

Humanities and Social Sciences ensuring bright career prospects and opportunities in the

academics and industries. It is a matter of pride that 6 schools and 11 departments in the

university campus have established themselves as centers of academic excellence over

the years which officer various graduate, post graduate, M. Phil. and doctoral (Ph. D)

programmes. The departments are well equipped with modern laboratories. Most of the

courses are industrial oriented and passed out students are getting absorbed in different

fields.

The University campus is spread over 650 acres of land on a hilly terrain, 6 km

away from Jalgaon city and on the western bank of the river Girna. Three districts viz.

Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar fall under the jurisdiction of the University. The region

has its own rich cultural and tribal heritage. While developing the site, the University has

taken utmost care to preserve natural fabric of hilly terrain. Beautiful designed spacious

buildings have been constructed to serve academic, administrative and residential

purposes. More than two lakh trees have been planted to conserve the natural beauty and

environment of the campus, for which the university was selected for the

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who has passed HSC(10+2) from any steam

(Science/Commerce/Arts) with one of the subject Mathematics in English medium and

has obtained at least 70% marks in Mathematics is eligible to get admission through

entrance examination.

Cancellation of Admission:

No candidate will be allowed to cancel his/her admission without paying complete

fees. Amount deducted from the total fees paid at the time of cancellation of admission is

as follows:

Admission cancelled within 7 days from the date of admission:

Rs.500 + 10% of Tuition fee.

Admission cancelled within 8-15 days from the date of admission:

Rs. 500+ 25% of Tuition fee.

Admission cancelled after 15 days from the date of admission:

100% (i.e. No refund will be paid)
