 The North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon was established on August 15, 1990“Vanashreeby Government of Maharashtra and “Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshaby the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt of

under the Maharashtra University Act (No.XXIX) of 1989, to establish and promote

facilities for advanced and applied education in North Maharashtra region. The North

Maharashtra University has achieved a distinctive place in the area of higher education

during the period of last 19 years. In such short span of time it has made a commendable

progress. The University has 208 affiliated Colleges and 35 recognized institutions.

University is reaccredited B Grade (2.88) by National Assessment and Accreditation

Council (NAAC), Bangalore in2009.

A Mathematician, Prin. Dr. K. B. Patil is the present Vice-Chancellor of North

Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He has obtained his Ph.D. Degree from University of

Calgary (Canada). He served as graduate and post graduate teacher in Mathematics,

Principal of Jai-Hind College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Dhule. He also served for

North Maharashtra University in different capacities such as Registrar, Management

Council Member, Dean of Science Faculty and Chairman of different committees.

The University offers various innovative academic programmes in the faculties of

Science, Art, Engineering and Technology, Commerce and Management, Education,

Humanities and Social Sciences ensuring bright career prospects and opportunities in the

academics and industries. It is a matter of pride that 6 schools and 11 departments in the

university campus have established themselves as centers of academic excellence over

the years which officer various graduate, post graduate, M. Phil. and doctoral (Ph. D)

programmes. The departments are well equipped with modern laboratories. Most of the

courses are industrial oriented and passed out students are getting absorbed in different

fields.

The University campus is spread over 650 acres of land on a hilly terrain, 6 km

away from Jalgaon city and on the western bank of the river Girna. Three districts viz.

Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar fall under the jurisdiction of the University. The region

has its own rich cultural and tribal heritage. While developing the site, the University has

taken utmost care to preserve natural fabric of hilly terrain. Beautiful designed spacious

buildings have been constructed to serve academic, administrative and residential

purposes. More than two lakh trees have been planted to conserve the natural beauty and

environment of the campus, for which the university was selected for the

Award-2000”

Eligibility Criteria

Any candidate is considered to be eligible for CET examination being conducted

for M. Ed. Admission under following conditions:

i. If he/she belongs to Open/OBC/SBC/NT/VJ category, he/she must has

minimum 50% marks at B. Ed. Degree.

ii. If he/she belongs to Backward class category, he/she must has minimum 45%

marks at B. Ed. Degree.

iii. If he/ she is from outside Maharashtra universities belonging to any category,

he/she must has minimum 50% marks at B. Ed. Degree.

Any candidates who have appeared in B. Ed. examination April/May 2010

are also eligible to appear for CET, but they should submit their B. Ed. Mark list on

& before July 02, 2010.

The candidate will be eligible in admission process if he/she secures minimum

40 % marks in CET examination.

How To Apply

  1. This online portal would render correct results only in browsers supporting JavaScript (recommended browsers: IE 7.0+, Firefox, Google Chrome) and it is enabled in settings. In case of incorrect rendering by inappropriate browsers shall not be the responsibility of NMU.

  4. Important: While filling Online Application Form Please note down your Username and Password as it is required for downloading Hall Ticket for Entrance

The applicant should draw a D.D. on any Nationalized Bank or Scheduled Bank of amount Rs. 800/- for (Open/OBC/SBC/NT/VJ Categories), Rs. 600/- for (SC/ST/PH/VH Categories) and Rs. 1000/- for a canditate from other state, in favour of "Registrar, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon" before proceeding for filling Onine Application Form. It is mandatory to have D.D. before proceeding for online application form submission.
     
    1. Candidate should enclose following documents along with the hard copy of application form (For more details please refer to Information Brochure)
    2. D.D. on any Nationalized Bank or Scheduled Bank to be drawn in favour of the "The Registrar, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon".
  • Write your Application Form Number, your name and address behind the D.D.
  • Attested Xerox copy of the necessary Documents must also be attached these includes, TC(Transfer Certificate), U.G. Marksheet, P.G. Marksheet, B.Ed. Marksheet, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Non Creamy Layer Certificate(if applicable for your caste),Caste Validity Certificate (if applicable), Physical Diabliity Certificate (for PH candidates), Defense Service Certficate in case of DSP Ward and any other certificate you feel appropriate.
     
  1. Candidate should fill-up the Online Application Form as per the given instructions and take print out of the Entrance Application Form, attach the  mentioned documents(attested photo copies)  along with D.D., enclosed in an envelop and send it either by post or by hand to Concerned University Department .
  2. Last date for filling Online Application Form is 19th June 2010 and last date for sending the hard copy of the printed form along with D.D. and necessary documents to the University Department is 22nd June 2010. If hard copy along with D.D. and other necessary documents is not received on or before the last date your registration will be treated as cancelled
  3. The envelop should be superscribe with "Application Form for Entrance to Admission in M.Ed. 2010 " followed by "Form No.(autogenerated)" and should be addressed to "The Head, Department of Education, School of Social Sciences, P.O. Box 80, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon." .
